Water JPI held alignment workshop

The Water JPI's third alignment workshop took place in Stockholm on 4 April 2017, and aimed at identifying the goals regarding alignment and exchanging views on specific alignment instruments. The workshop focused on understanding what alignment means, planning how to progress alignment using the Thematic Annual Programming (TAP) instrument and also how exploring mirror groups can help to progress alignment nationally. (A mirror group is defined as a national group set up to disseminate/coordinate water research-related activities at national level.)

The workshop was attended by 29 persons, including members of the Water JPI Governing Board and Water JPI partners, as well as guest speakers from the European Commission, the ERA-LEARN 2020 project, the JPI on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change (FACCE-JPI) and the High Level Group for Joint Programming / Groupe de haut niveau pour la Programmation Conjointe (GPC).
