Water JPI 2017 joint call opening soon

In the coming days the Water JPI will launch its new joint call on the topic “Water resource management in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals”. The call will be funded under the Coordination and Support Action IC4WATER, which is dedicated to the development of international cooperation in the water area. IC4WATER focuses in particular on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) related to water challenges.

The Water JPI 2017 joint call aims at developing new concepts to tackle the following two challenges:

  • Multiple pressure effects on ecosystems and ecosystem services as well as effective mitigation – adaptation tools and assessments for implementing the water related targets of the UN SDGs.

  • Developing accessible solutions for clean water management to address UN SDG6 targets and associated SDGs.

The call will be funded by 14 funding partner organisations from 14 countries, and will open in September 2017. The closing date for pre-proposals is planned for November 2017 (to be confirmed).
