Conferences on R&I cooperation for the bioeconomy

During the 78th National Agriculture and Food Exhibition and Fair in Budapest, Hungary, (OMÉK) several conferences will be held on cooperation for agri-innovation. Participation at the conferences is free of charge, but requires registration (see links below).

“Added value of cooperation in bioeconomy research – International BIOEAST conference”
This conference, which takes place on 20 September 2017, will be organised by the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture (FM), the Research Institute of Agricultural Economics (AKI) and the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO). BIOEAST is a Central Eastern European Initiative for Knowledge-based Agriculture, Aquaculture and Forestry in Bioeconomy. The event will present the outcomes of the last two years of the BIOEAST initiative, and the challenges and the opportunities arising from cooperation on research and innovation in the Central and Eastern European macro-region.

“Strategic thinking: building a research and innovation led Bioeconomy”
This conference, which takes place on 21 September 2017, will focus on opportunites in the bioeconomy. Presenters from the EU-15 Member States will share their experiences on the importance of developing the economy in the direction of the bioeconomy, and Hungarian best practices in the field of research- and innovation-based cooperation for the bioeconomy will be presented.
